Dehradun, August 27 – Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has approved financial sanctions worth ₹6.89 crore for a range of developmental and cultural projects across six districts of the state. The projects include roads, playgrounds, temple beautification, digital service centres, and heritage revival, reflecting the government’s focus on holistic growth and cultural preservation.
In Dehradun district, ₹1 crore has been sanctioned for the establishment of a Nature Park in Hesco Village, Shuklapur, with ₹60 lakh released as the first installment. In Chamoli district, ₹45.40 lakh has been approved for the renovation and reconstruction of the ancient Kwatha in Sarkot village near Bhararisain, an effort to preserve heritage and promote tourism.
For Pithoragarh, ₹25 lakh has been sanctioned for the connecting road from Jamradi to Thalkedar via Meltinath, while ₹68.59 lakh has been approved for the expansion of the playground in the village council Pabh. The first installment of ₹41.15 lakh has already been released.
In Champawat district, the government has sanctioned ₹1 crore for the construction of a Sainik Smarak in Banbasa to honor the contributions of soldiers, releasing ₹60 lakh as the first installment. An additional ₹60 lakh has been approved for Aadhaar and Common Service Centres in 10 cooperative societies to enhance digital access and public services.
For Almora, the Chief Minister has sanctioned ₹1 crore for the beautification and renovation of the Manila Devi temple and ₹87.95 lakh for the renovation of the Patal Devi temple in the village style, with ₹52.77 lakh already released. These projects aim to preserve cultural heritage while promoting religious tourism.
In Udham Singh Nagar, ₹1 crore has been sanctioned for upgrading internal roads under the Municipal Corporation Rudrapur, with ₹60 lakh released as the first installment.
The approvals highlight the Uttarakhand government’s balanced focus on infrastructure development, cultural heritage conservation, and public service delivery. These projects are expected to strengthen connectivity, enhance religious and cultural tourism, and improve civic amenities across the state.
