Baramulla (National Times): Security forces successfully foiled an infiltration attempt in the Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday, killing two terrorists during a fierce gunfight, according to the Indian Army.
The encounter took place during an ongoing counter-infiltration operation, which saw a heavy exchange of fire between the terrorists and security personnel. Officials confirmed that two infiltrators were neutralized during the operation.

A significant cache of arms, ammunition, and other war-like materials was recovered from the slain terrorists. The operation is still underway, and further details are awaited. The Army continues to maintain high alert along the Line of Control (LoC) to prevent any further attempts of cross-border infiltration.
It came a day after the terrorists opened fire at tourists in Pahalgam, claiming 27 lives, mostly tourists. The entire nation is shocked. On the other hand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has condemned the attack and assured the nation that those behind the attack won’t be spared.
