Two Dead in Abbotsford Home, Homicide Investigators Called In

Abbotsford, B.C. (Rajeev Sharma) : A quiet townhouse community in Abbotsford has been shaken by a double death investigation after two people were found dead inside a home on Monday evening.

Abbotsford police said officers were called around 7:45 p.m. to a residence in the King’s Gate townhouse complex on McKee Road, near the Ledgeview Golf Club, following reports of a violent dispute. Inside, they discovered the bodies of two adults.

Authorities have yet to release details on the victims’ identities, including their ages, genders, or any potential relationship between them.

Police believe the incident was isolated to the residence and that there is no ongoing threat to public safety. The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has now taken over the case.

“This is an area that is more isolated… it’s a neighbourhood that does not see the police that often. It’s a gated townhouse complex so it’s rocking that neighbourhood right now,” said Sgt. Paul Walker of the Abbotsford Police Department.

Walker noted that residents should expect a significant police presence in the area over the coming days as investigators continue their work.

Anyone with information is urged to contact IHIT at 1-877-551-4448.
