Sri Muktsar Sahib (Gurpreet Singh): Punjab Police scored another success in its crackdown on criminal gangs after detaining two suspected associates of the Lawrence Bishnoi group in Sri Muktsar Sahib district.
The operation led to the recovery of a sizeable arms haul — including four .32 bore pistols, one .30 bore pistol and five spare magazines. Police officials said the weapons were likely meant to be used for furthering the gang’s unlawful activities.
Investigators believe the arrested men were closely linked to the Bishnoi gang’s network. Efforts are now underway to identify other members and uncover the supply chain of illegal arms.
DGP Punjab Gaurav Yadav noted that the state police remain relentless in their pursuit of such groups. “We are fully committed to uprooting organized crime and maintaining peace across Punjab,” he said.
