San Francisco, March 22, 2025 – Twitter’s famous blue bird logo, removed from its former San Francisco headquarters after Elon Musk rebranded the platform as X, has been sold for $34,375 at an auction.
Boston-based RR Auction, known for selling rare collectibles, confirmed the sale of the 254 kg, 12-foot by 9-foot sign but did not disclose the buyer’s identity.
This isn’t the first time Musk has auctioned off memorabilia from the old Twitter. Previously, he sold office furniture, kitchen equipment, and various signs from the company’s past.
Other high-profile tech collectibles also fetched impressive prices in the auction. An Apple-1 computer with accessories sold for $375,000, while an Apple Computer Co. check signed by Steve Jobs in 1976 went for $112,054. Additionally, a first-generation, sealed 4GB iPhone was purchased for $87,514.
The sale reflects the continued demand for tech industry memorabilia, especially from iconic companies like Apple and Twitter.
