Trouble mounts for suspended DIG Harcharan Singh Bhullar as another FIR registered under Excise Act after recovery of 108 liquor bottles

National Times Bureau :- A day after facing suspension, former Punjab DIG Harcharan Singh Bhullar has now been booked under Excise Act and a case in this regard has bene registered by the Samrala police under Khanna police district.

The Central Bureau of Investigation recovered  108 bottles of liquor — during a search of his farmhouse located in Bondli village in Samrala. The Samrala police registered the case on Saturday, confirmed Samrala DSP Tarlochan Singh.

The FIR has been registered under Sections 61 (unlawful activities related to intoxicants, such as import, export, transport, manufacture, or possession in violation of the Act), 1 (typically deals with its short title, extent, and commencement), and 14 (grants officers the power to summon individuals to provide evidence or produce documents in proceedings related to the act) of the Excise Act at Samrala police station based on the statement of CBI inspector Romipal, officials said.
