Chandigarh, November 1: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini marked Haryana Day by announcing major governance and welfare milestones, emphasizing that the state’s transparent recruitment system has become a model for the entire nation. Over the past 11 years, his government has provided employment to three lakh youth through merit-based and corruption-free recruitment processes. Out of these, 1.8 lakh candidates have been appointed to regular government positions, while 1.2 lakh others have been employed through the Haryana Skill Employment Corporation.
Speaking at a press conference, the Chief Minister highlighted that the corporation not only ensures job opportunities but also secures the future of contractual employees through social security benefits. He added that the transparent recruitment model of Haryana has been lauded by Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself.
On this occasion, CM Saini transferred more than ₹109 crore directly into the bank accounts of 5,22,162 women under the Deendayal Lado Lakshmi Yojana. He also launched the statewide paperless registry system, aimed at eliminating unnecessary delays and corruption in property registration processes.
The Chief Minister stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, the double-engine government has accelerated Haryana’s growth in innovation, infrastructure, and inclusive development. Out of 217 promises made in the state manifesto, 48 have already been fulfilled within a year, while work on 158 others is progressing swiftly.
Saini further emphasized that Haryana’s robust Ease of Doing Business ecosystem has attracted substantial industrial investment. Over the past 11 years, 12.2 lakh micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) have been registered, generating investments worth ₹28,377 crore. The state now hosts more than 9,500 startups and 19 unicorn companies, reflecting its dynamic business environment.
Discussing agricultural reforms, the Chief Minister noted that Haryana ensures minimum support price (MSP) procurement for all 24 notified crops, with payments guaranteed within 48 hours. Under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, compensation worth ₹15,627 crore has been distributed to farmers affected by crop losses.
Highlighting social inclusion, Saini said that the government has strengthened participation and representation of Scheduled Castes, backward classes, and economically weaker sections in governance.
He also detailed the government’s initiatives for women empowerment, including the Har Ghar Har Grihni Yojana, which provides LPG cylinders at ₹500 to over 14.5 lakh women from low-income households. Under the Namo Drone Didi Scheme, 100 women have already received drone pilot training and free drones, with another 100 to be trained this year.
