Three-Year Age Relaxation Granted in Haryana Police Constable Recruitment; Applications Open Till January 31, 2026

Chandigarh, January 23 — The Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) has granted a three-year age relaxation to all candidates applying for the police constable recruitment advertised under CET–2025. HSSC Chairman Himmat Singh said that the online application process has been activated and candidates can apply through the commission’s official portal. The last date for submitting online applications has been extended from January 25 to January 31, 2026, up to 11:59 pm.

Explaining the rationale behind the decision, the HSSC Chairman said the age relaxation has been provided to ensure fair opportunity for candidates who became overage due to the non-conduct of the CET examination after 2022. With the CET being conducted again in 2025, the commission decided to extend age relaxation so that eligible aspirants are not deprived of participation in the recruitment process.

He said the move is expected to allow a larger number of qualified youth to compete in the selection process. The commission, he added, remains committed to conducting the recruitment in a transparent, fair, and rule-based manner.

The recruitment process has been initiated under Advertisement No. 01/2026 as part of CET Phase–II for Haryana Police constable posts. Online applications have been invited for male constable, female constable, and Haryana Railway Police positions.

A total of 5,500 posts are to be filled through this recruitment drive, including 4,500 posts of male constable, 600 posts of female constable, and 400 posts in the Haryana Railway Police.
The commission has advised all interested candidates to complete their applications well before the revised deadline of January 31, 2026. It has clarified that no further extension will be granted after the closing date.
