Three-Day ‘National Sports Day’ Celebrations in Haryana on Major Dhyan Chand’s Birth Anniversary; State-Level Closing Ceremony in Kurukshetra with CM Nayab Singh Saini

Chandigarh, August 30 – Haryana is celebrating National Sports Day on the birth anniversary of hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand with a three-day program from August 29 to 31. The state-level closing ceremony will be held on August 31 in Kurukshetra, where Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini will preside.

Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi released the list of chief and special guests participating in various district-level programs across the state.

According to the schedule, Energy Minister Anil Vij will attend the event in Ambala, while Women and Child Development Minister Shruti Choudhary along with MLAs Ghanshyam Sarraf and Kapoor Singh will attend in Bhiwani. In Charkhi Dadri, MP Dharambir Singh with MLAs Umed Singh and Sunil Satpal Sangwan will be present. In Faridabad, MP Krishan Pal Gurjar along with MLAs Dhanesh Adlakha, Mool Chand Sharma, and Satish Kumar Fagna will participate, while MP Subhash Barala will attend as chief guest in Fatehabad.

In Gurugram, Industries and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh with MLAs Bimla Choudhary, Mukesh Sharma, and Tejpal Tanwar will attend. Public Health Engineering Minister Ranbir Gangwa, MLAs Vinod Bhyana, Savitri Jindal, and Randhir Singh Panihar will participate in Hisar. Minister of State Rajesh Nagar with MLA Rajesh June will be in Jhajjar. In Jind, Deputy Speaker of Haryana Assembly Dr. Krishan Lal Middha with MLAs Ramkumar Gautam and Devendra Chaturbhuj Atri will attend. Similarly, MP Naveen Jindal with MLA Satpal Jamba in Kaithal, Speaker of Haryana Assembly Harvindra Kalyan with MLAs Bhagwandas, Ramkumar Kashyap, Jagmohan Anand, and Yogendra Singh Rana in Karnal, and other ministers, MPs, and MLAs will take part in their respective districts.

The celebrations will also see participation from Health Minister Aarti Singh Rao in Mahendragarh, Minister of State for Youth Empowerment and Entrepreneurship Gaurav Gautam in Nuh, Revenue Minister Vipul Goel in Palwal, and Rajya Sabha MPs Rekha Sharma in Panchkula and Ramchandra Jangra in Rewari. In addition, Co-operation Minister Dr. Arvind Sharma will be chief guest in Rohtak, Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Krishan Kumar Bedi in Sirsa, Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Krishan Lal Panwar in Sonipat, and Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Shyam Singh Rana in Yamunanagar.
