Officials from airport operator Bangalore International Airport Limited confirmed that the plane touched down without incident and that all passengers and crew members emerged safely.
The aircraft took off at roughly 8:20 AM before flight crew detected an operational anomaly, prompting them to halt the climb and divert toward nearby Tumakuru airspace. The pilots held the airliner in a circling pattern for over 30 minutes to run systems diagnostics and dump fuel to meet landing-weight requirements before securing clearance to head back toward Bengaluru.
Ground emergency teams were placed on standby across the runways as the wide-body plane concluded its unscheduled return, ensuring a smooth arrival despite the emergency declaration.
