Chandigarh, July 2: Punjab Police arrested 156 alleged drug smugglers and seized significant quantities of narcotics in an extensive statewide operation on Wednesday, as part of the ongoing “Yudh Nashian Virudh” campaign aimed at eradicating drug trafficking and abuse from the state.The operation, conducted on the directives of Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav, took place across all 28 police districts. Officers recovered 7.8 kilograms of heroin, 3 kilograms of opium, and ₹1.43 lakh in alleged drug proceeds from the arrested individuals.With these arrests, the total number of drug smugglers apprehended in the 123-day-long anti-drug campaign has reached 20,206.Chief…
