Hearings Conclude for ‘Logical Discrepancy’ Cases in West Bengal; Final Electoral Rolls on February 28

Kolkata (Gurpreet Singh): The hearing process for “logical discrepancy” cases under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise concluded across West Bengal on Saturday, a senior official of the Election Commission of India said. The final electoral rolls are now scheduled to be published on February 28. The hearings, which began on December 27, were conducted at designated camps set up in schools, club premises and government buildings throughout the state. The exercise aimed to address omissions, spelling errors and other inconsistencies detected in the draft voter list.
