Kolkata, December 17, 2025: The Trinamool Congress has decided to undertake a fresh door-to-door verification exercise in Bhabanipur, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s Assembly constituency, after a significant drop in voter numbers was reflected in the draft electoral rolls released under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process.Party sources said booth-level agents have been directed to physically verify the names of voters removed from the rolls, following the deletion of nearly 45,000 electors from the constituency. Over 97% Electors Receive Enumeration Forms in Ongoing Voter List Revision, Says Election Commission

New Delhi, November 16, 2025: The Election Commission on Sunday announced that more than 49 crore electors across nine states and three Union Territories have received enumeration forms as part of the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral rolls.
