Change in Beating Retreat timings at Attari: Ceremony will now begin at 5 pm, no customary greetings

National Times Bureau :- The timings of the Beating Retreat Ceremony, held at the India-Pakistan International Border in Attary has been changed in view of the onset of winter season. The ceremony will begin at 5 pm and will go on till 5:30 pm. The revised timings are effective immediately.  However, due to the security concerns, the India-Pakistan Border gates will remain closed and there will ne no customary greetings or ceremonies between the Border Security Forces (BSF) and Pakistani Rangers.  The BSF had suspended these traditional exchanges on April 24.
