National Times Bureau :- The Punjab government has taken a significant step to support children suffering from thalassemia by announcing free treatment for these patients across the state. The government will bear the entire cost of bone marrow transplants (BMT), amounting to ₹10 lakh per procedure. Patients can apply directly through a dedicated portal, as the government has signed an agreement with a company based at CMC Ludhiana to facilitate this treatment.
