National Times Bureau :- Gig-workers associated with app-based ride platforms such as Ola, Uber and Rapido have announced a 6-hour nationwide strike on Febraury 7. The drivers have decided to remain offline for six hours as part of their 'All India Breakdown'. The strike has been called by by the Telangana Gig and Platform Workers Union, also known as TGPWU. Edmonton (Rajeev Sharma): A province-wide strike by Alberta’s licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and health-care aides was narrowly averted after the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees (AUPE) and Alberta Health Services reached a tentative agreement just prior to the commencement of job action on November 22, 2025. Edmonton (Rajeev Sharma): In a significant development, the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees (AUPE) has announced that approximately 98 per cent of its 16,000 nursing care members, comprising licensed practical nurses (LPNs), health care aides, and support staff employed by Alberta Health Services (AHS) and the province’s new regional health agencies, have voted in favour of strike action.
