Amritsar, September 14: Deputy Commissioner Amritsar Sakshi Sahni today convened an important meeting with NGOs in the presence of Member of Parliament Vikramjit Singh Sahni and MLA Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal. Amritsar Flood Relief Operations in Full Swing, Over 2,500 Rescued So Far

Amritsar, August 31 – Relief and rescue operations continue on a war footing in flood-affected areas of Amritsar. So far, more than 2,500 stranded people have been evacuated to safer places by various rescue teams. Today, an NDRF team saved a young man from drowning, giving him a new lease of life.Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sahni, who is personally leading the operations, said that six NDRF teams, 17 Army teams, along with civil and police administration, are engaged in relief work.
