Haryana to Launch New Scheme for Rohida–Janti Conservation in South Haryana: Environment Minister Rao Narbir Singh

Chandigarh, December 9, 2025: The Haryana government is set to introduce a new scheme on the lines of the Pranavayu Devta Pension Scheme to boost the conservation of Rohida and Janti trees in south Haryana. Forest and Environment Minister Rao Narbir Singh announced the initiative during a review meeting held in Chandigarh on Monday.Singh said the scheme will focus on regions such as Mahendragarh, Satnali, Charkhi Dadri, Badhra and Loharu, where these native species play a crucial ecological role.
