Several districts are still witnessing persistent fog, accompanied by a noticeable dip in temperatures. According to the latest forecast issued by the Chandigarh Meteorological Department, parts of Punjab are likely to receive rainfall on January 31 and February 1. National Times Bureau :- The weather has significantly changed in Punjab and Chandigarh after heavy rain lashed several parts including Mohali, Ludhiana and Jalandhar.   The Chandigarh Meteorological Centre has issued a yellow alert for thunderstorms, rain, lightning, and strong winds blowing at speeds of 40 to 50 km per hour. In addition to rain and thunderstorms, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has also forecast hail across the region.
