Chandigarh, October 3: For the first time in Punjab’s history, the state government has proposed to convene a special session of the Vidhan Sabha outside the Assembly complex in Chandigarh. The session is likely to be held in Sri Anandpur Sahib on November 24, coinciding with the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, the ninth Sikh Guru.Cabinet Minister Harjot Bains confirmed that the government is considering Baba Jeevan Singh Memorial Park in Anandpur Sahib as the venue.
