Puerto Leguízamo, Cambodia (Rajeev Sharma): A Colombian military transport aircraft carrying approximately 110 soldiers crashed shortly after takeoff on Monday, March 23, 2026. The Lockheed Martin C-130 Hercules went down near Puerto Leguízamo, a town in the southern Amazon region near the border with Peru. According to Defense Minister Pedro Sánchez, the aircraft was transporting troops when the "tragic accident" occurred just three kilometres from an urban centre.
