PGIMER Chandigarh Treats Seven Burn Injury Cases Linked to Diwali Firecrackers

Chandigarh, October 21, 2025 — The Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, reported seven cases of burn injuries during this year’s Diwali celebrations, all linked to firecracker-related accidents.According to the Department of Plastic Surgery, three individuals sustained severe hand injuries after crackers exploded in their hands, while another patient suffered facial burns.
