National Times Bureau :- A tragic road accident on Sirhind Road in Patiala on Friday morning claimed one life and left 12 others injured after a PUNBUS bus and a truck collided head-on. According to the police, the accident took place when both vehicles were travelling at high speed. The impact was so severe that bus conductor Anmol Singh (45) died on the spot. Officials stationed at the Harchandpura bridge, including Duty Officer and Block Development & Panchayat Officer Gurmeet Singh and Panchayat Officer Jatinder Singh, reported a 4–5 inch increase in the river’s level overnight. While the situation on the Punjab side remains under control, the river has started to swell at several points, raising concerns among residents.
