Chandigarh, November 2, 2025 — The Chandigarh Press Club on Sunday condemned the police action of stopping vehicles carrying newspapers across several districts of Punjab, calling it a serious assault on press freedom and an attempt to restrict the free flow of information.According to the Press Club, newspaper distribution across the state was severely hampered due to intensive police checks on vehicles transporting publications.
