Chandigarh, September 17: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Wednesday launched Mission Chardi Kala, a global fundraising campaign to support the rehabilitation of victims of the devastating 2025 floods in Punjab.In a video address, Mann described the disaster as “the most horrifying tragedy in Punjab’s history.” He said the floods submerged 2,300 villages, affected more than two million people, destroyed five lakh acres of crops, damaged 3,200 schools, 19 colleges, and 1,400 health facilities, and washed away 8,500 km of roads and 2,500 bridges.
