Haridwar, September 27: The traditional Chhari Yatra began in Haridwar on Friday with rituals at the historic Maya Devi Temple. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami offered prayers, performed a yajna, and carried out the ceremonial worship of the sacred staff before lifting it onto his shoulder and circumambulating the temple.The auspicious ritual marked the formal commencement of the annual Chhari Yatra, a deeply revered tradition in the holy city.
