25 Transgender Individuals Hospitalised After Allegedly Consuming Poison in Madhya Pradesh

National Times Bureau :- About 25 members of the transgender community in Indore allegedly consumed phenyl together on Wednesday night and were subsequently admitted to a government hospital, an official said. The reason behind the collective act remains unclear. Dr Basant Kumar Ningwal, Superintendent-in-Charge of the government-run Maharaja Yashwantrao Hospital (MYH), "Around 25 people from the transgender community have been admitted to our hospital. Bhopal, February 27, 2025 – In a first for India, domestic cats in Madhya Pradesh’s Chhindwara district have tested positive for the H5N1 avian influenza virus. However, officials confirmed that their owners remain unaffected. The virus was detected in three to four cats whose samples were sent to the ICAR-National Institute of High-Security Animal Diseases (NIHSAD) in Bhopal in January.
