New Delhi, August 5, 2025 — Amit Shah has etched his name in Indian political history by becoming the country’s longest-serving Union Home Minister. On Tuesday, he surpassed the record previously held by BJP stalwart Lal Krishna Advani.Shah first took over the Home Ministry on May 30, 2019, following the NDA's re-election.
