Chandigarh, February 27, 2025: The Haryana State Election Commission has decided that in places where only by-elections are being held, voting will be conducted using a single Electronic Voting Machine (EVM). Liquor Ban During Elections State Election Commissioner Dhanpat Singh announced that to ensure free and fair elections, the Excise and Taxation Department has imposed a liquor ban under Section 135C of the Representation of the People Act, 1951.This ban will be in effect from 6 PM on February 28 until the conclusion of polling on March 2.
