Leh (Ladakh), November 1, 2025: An earthquake measuring 4.1 on the Richter scale struck Leh on Saturday evening, according to the National Center for Seismology (NCS). The tremor occurred at 5:42 pm at a shallow depth of 10 kilometres beneath the surface.The NCS shared the details on X, stating, “EQ of M: 4.1, On: 01/11/2025 17:42:26 IST, Lat: 36.69 N, Long: 75.51 E, Depth: 10 Km, Location: Leh, Ladakh.” No casualties or property damage have been reported so far.Experts note that shallow earthquakes, like the one recorded in Leh, tend to cause stronger surface shaking compared to deeper ones, as…
