UAE, January 1, 2026: A significant breakthrough has been reported in the murder case of Punjab-based social media influencer Kanchan Kumari, popularly known as Kamal Kaur Bhabi, with the detention of the main accused, Amritpal Singh Mehron, in the United Arab Emirates, sources said. According to preliminary information, Mehron was taken into custody by Sharjah Police during a sudden enforcement drive. His identity reportedly came under scrutiny during visa-related verification, following which local authorities detained him for questioning.
