Amritsar, June 7, 2025 – In a major crackdown on illegal arms smuggling in Punjab, the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) Border Range Amritsar has arrested three men and recovered six high-end foreign-made pistols reportedly smuggled from across the border. The arrested individuals were allegedly working for jailed smuggling kingpin Jugraj Singh, currently lodged at Sri Goindwal Sahib Central Jail.Punjab Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav said the arrests were made as part of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann’s ongoing push to make Punjab safer.
