Chandigarh, March 20, 2025 – The Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB) has arrested Jarnail Singh, a Junior Engineer (JE) with the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL), for accepting a bribe of ₹10,000. The arrest was made as part of the state's ongoing anti-corruption drive.An official spokesperson of the VB disclosed that the case was based on a complaint filed by a resident of Kothe Chahal Singh in Faridkot. According to the complaint, Singh had demanded ₹20,000 to shift a tubewell connection and install a domestic power meter at the residence of the complainant’s acquaintance.
