Patna, November 9, 2025 — Nepal has shut several border crossings with India for 72 hours to ensure peaceful polling during the second phase of the Bihar Assembly elections scheduled for Tuesday. The decision came into effect on Saturday evening and will remain in force until 6 p.m. on November 11.According to officials, the temporary border closure is part of security measures to prevent any illegal movement of people, money, or goods that could influence the voting process.
