Assam Orders Three Declared Bangladeshi Nationals to Exit India Within 24 Hours

DIPHU (Assam), February 7, 2026 — The Assam government has directed three individuals declared as illegal Bangladeshi immigrants to leave India within 24 hours, officials confirmed on Saturday. The expulsion orders were issued under Section 2 of the Immigrants (Expulsion from Assam) Act, 1950, after the Foreigners Tribunal (FT) identified the three as illegal entrants through separate rulings in December. Authorities said the orders, signed by the Karbi Anglong district commissioner earlier this week, were formally served to the individuals on Saturday.
