Chandigarh, August 26: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann announced on Monday that all government and private schools, including primary, secondary, and senior secondary institutions, will remain closed from August 27 to 30. The decision comes in view of continuous heavy rainfall across the state and the Meteorological Department’s forecast of more downpours in the coming days.The Chief Minister said the move was necessary to ensure the safety of students and staff during the adverse weather conditions.
