Chandigarh, October 10, 2025: The Chandigarh Police have constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate the death of senior Haryana IPS officer Y Puran Kumar, officials confirmed on Friday. Security has also been tightened outside his government residence in Sector-11 as the inquiry gains momentum.Kumar, a 2001-batch IPS officer, was found dead at his official accommodation on October 7.
