Haryana Mandates Drainage Planning, QR Codes to Boost Transparency and Quality in Infrastructure Projects

Chandigarh, January 19 — Acting on the directions of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, the Quality Assurance Authority (QAA) has initiated a comprehensive framework to strengthen quality, transparency and accountability in engineering infrastructure projects across Haryana. Sharing details of the initiative, QAA Chairman Rajiv Arora, a retired IAS officer, said the authority has conducted detailed technical audits of 25 major infrastructure projects across departments in two phases. The audits focused on design adequacy, compliance with Detailed Project Reports (DPRs), construction quality, contract management, safety standards and long-term sustainability. CM Nayab Singh Saini Approves ₹1900 Crore Hisar Bypass Project to Ease Traffic

Chandigarh, August 29 – Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has approved a major infrastructure project for Hisar city. The plan includes the construction of the Hisar bypass, which will start from Hisar-Rajgarh Road (NH-52), cross Hisar-Delhi Road (NH-9), and connect to Hisar-Kaithal Road (NH-52). The bypass will span about 41 kilometers and is estimated to cost ₹1900 crore. Of this, nearly ₹1000 crore will be spent on land acquisition. The project will be executed in collaboration with the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). Officials said the new bypass will significantly improve traffic flow and connectivity in the region.
