Haryana Strengthens Water Infrastructure to Ensure Safe and Adequate Drinking Supply Across Rural and Urban Areas

Chandigarh, December 6 — The Haryana government has reaffirmed its commitment to providing safe, uninterrupted and adequate drinking water to every household in the state. To achieve this goal, the government has expanded and modernised its water supply infrastructure, ensuring regular access to clean drinking water in both rural and urban regions.According to officials, the state currently delivers drinking water through 1,870 canal-based waterworks, 12,920 tubewells, 9 ranney wells and 4,140 boosting stations, forming a robust supply network across Haryana.A spokesperson from the department said several projects have been implemented to maintain seamless water supply.
