Gurdaspur, May 8, 2025 — In view of escalating tensions between India and Pakistan, the Deputy Commissioner of Gurdaspur has announced a mandatory district-wide blackout from 9 PM to 5 AM, effective immediately and continuing until further notice. The order has been issued under the Civil Defence Act, 1968.The blackout is aimed at bolstering security in this sensitive border district.
