Chandigarh, July 29, 2025: The Punjab Government has officially declared July 31 as a gazetted holiday to mark the martyrdom day of Shaheed Udham Singh. The announcement, made by AAP State President and Cabinet Minister Aman Arora, fulfils a long-standing demand of the Kamboj community and aims to honour the legacy of the iconic revolutionary who avenged the Jallianwala Bagh massacre in London.At a press conference held at Punjab Bhawan, Aman Arora also revealed that the Bhawanigarh–Sunam–Bhikhi–Kotshamir road will be renamed as “Shaheed Udham Singh Marg.” This renaming is part of the state's tribute to the freedom fighter and will…
