New Delhi (Gurpreet Singh): India is set to launch the Calling Name Presentation (CNAP) service nationwide by December 2025, in a bid to bolster mobile security and counter the escalating threat of cyber fraud. Following successful trials in Haryana and Himachal Pradesh, the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has instructed all telecom operators to prepare their networks for nationwide activation by November 30, with full-scale implementation scheduled for December 15.The CNAP feature will display the verified name of the caller, sourced directly from official telecom KYC records, providing users with reliable caller identification, akin to Truecaller, but backed by government-regulated data.…
