National Times Bureau :- A Rs.60 lakh embezzlement case has surfaced at the Dr. Sushil Nayar Working Women Hostel of Panjab University (PU), involving alleged misappropriation of students’ hostel fees. The university administration has filed an FIR, and police have begun an investigation into the matter. Sources confirmed that the inquiry committee formed earlier has already submitted its report. The scam allegedly took place during the tenure of former hostel warden Prof. Avneet Kaur.
