Chandigarh, August 6, 2025 — Harish Malhotra, father of travel blogger Jyoti Malhotra who was arrested on suspicion of spying for Pakistan, has appealed to President Droupadi Murmu to intervene and help secure his daughter’s release. In a letter sent to Rashtrapati Bhavan, he alleged that Jyoti is innocent and has been wrongly implicated without any substantial proof.Harish claimed that police made Jyoti sign blank documents which were later filled with statements to support their version of the events.
