Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh): The Haryana Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department has invited applications from sugarcane farmers seeking subsidies on agricultural machinery under its 2026-27 mechanisation scheme. Eligible farmers can apply online until October 31, 2026, through the department's official website. The initiative is being implemented under the Technology Mission on Sugarcane to encourage farmers to adopt modern equipment and make sugarcane cultivation more convenient and productive. According to a department spokesperson, the scheme covers a range of machinery used in sugarcane farming, including equipment for planting, weed management, crop maintenance and field preparation.
