Haryana to Strengthen Transport with 1,025 New Buses, Free Travel for Divyang Citizens

Chandigarh, March 17, 2025 – Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced plans to strengthen the state's transport system with the purchase of 1,025 new buses under the 2025-26 budget. The fleet will include 500 non-AC BS-6 buses, 150 AC buses, and 375 electric buses. Saini emphasized that the goal is to modernize public transport and make it more convenient and environmentally friendly. The government plans to build modern bus depots under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model in Pipli, Karnal, Sector-36 (Gurugram), Ballabhgarh (Faridabad), and Sonipat.
