Nearly 4,000 Lost Mobile Phones Returned to Owners by Haryana Police through CEIR Portal

Chandigarh, September 2, 2025:  Haryana Police has achieved remarkable success this year in tracing mobile phones through the Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) portal. Between 01 January 2025 and 31 July 2025, nearly 4,000 mobile phones were returned to their rightful owners. This achievement places Haryana among the leading states in the country where technology and police coordination have delivered direct benefits to the public.District-Level SuccessIn Gurugram, the highest number of 1,195 mobile phones were returned to their owners. Chandigarh, March 13 – Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced that the state government has effectively controlled crime over the last 10 years. Despite the growing population and the use of new criminal methods, crime rates have steadily declined under the current administration.Speaking in the Assembly during a discussion on the Governor's address, CM Saini presented crime statistics to highlight the improvements.
