Guwahati, September 16 – An Assam Civil Service (ACS) officer has been arrested for allegedly amassing assets nearly 400 times more than her known sources of income, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said on Tuesday. The officer, Nupur Bora, was taken into custody by the Chief Minister’s Special Vigilance Cell after searches at her residences led to the recovery of ₹92.50 lakh in cash and ornaments worth nearly ₹1.5 crore.
