Punjab and Haryana High Court Fines Top Officials for Ignoring Orders

Chandigarh, October 28, 2025: The Punjab and Haryana High Court has ordered the deduction of ₹2 lakh from the salaries of four senior Punjab government officials, including Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav and Transport Secretary Pardeep Kumar, for failing to comply with earlier court directives.As per the court’s order, ₹50,000 will be deducted from each officer’s salary and deposited into the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
