Chandigarh, January 9, 2026— Following the arrest of senior Shiromani Akali Dal leader Bikram Singh Majithia, Punjab Police have now arrested one of his close associates in connection with the same case. According to information, the police have taken into custody Davinder Verka, who had been serving as a sewadar at Majithia’s Amritsar residence for the past several years.Davinder Verka was produced before a court, which granted the police a two-day remand for further questioning.As per officials, Verka has been arrested in a case registered for allegedly obstructing the functioning of the Vigilance Bureau at the time of Majithia’s arrest.…
