Chandigarh, November 6, 2025 — The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has been granted a five-day extension of custody for suspended Punjab DIG Harcharan Singh Bhullar in connection with an ongoing corruption probe. The CBI court in Chandigarh approved the agency’s request after it argued that further interrogation was necessary to uncover key details in the case.Bhullar, who was earlier arrested on October 16, faces serious allegations of corruption and possession of assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
